Most of the major parts of a papercraft replica of single-stage Canadian sounding rocket, Black Brandt II. Completed model will stand about a meter in height. A BT-50 motor mount/stuffer tube (not shown) will run up the inside of the body to about where the gray square is located. Parachute compartment will be forward of the grey square. Nose cone will be a challenge to roll into shape, so two copies were printed up. Bulkheads/centering rings are either laminated of 2-3 layers of 110-lb cardstock or cut from artist's mat board using the centering ring as a template. Every part cut out on a cutting mat using an art knife with a #11 blade and assembled using Ailene's Tacky Glue. Cylindrical parts formed by rolling onto a length of PVC pipe of smaller diameter.
Had an error making up one of the fins, which must be scored in several locations and folded into the supersonic profile shown. The mistake and spare parts can be used as teaching tools for the advanced portion of the model rocketry course at the upcoming MI Wing CAP Summer Encampment at Alpena CRTC.
