Bringing over more of my art from DA.
It had been several days since Damon had actually taken Bella for a ride in the pastures of LunarStables. But with the way things had gone between him and Harley, he wasnt sure if he would be there much longer and he wanted to spend what might be his last day with his beloved mare. After tacking her up and leading the loyal mare into the yard, he mounted upon her back before giving her the command to walk on. He guided her towards a rather large pasture that seemed to be endless in land with no fences to be seen. Bella started to prance in place, trying to contain her excitement to have her one rider on her back again. Just when she thought he was going to let her gallop to her heart's content with him in the saddle, he dismounts her and starts to remove the tack. After she was free of the saddle and bridal, he came to stand at her head, stroking her cheeks the way he always did when he was troubled by something. "Bella, Im not sure if I will be at the stables anymore. Harley has moved on from me and I screwed up big time. So Im doing the right thing and setting you free from me and my troubled life." He says to her calmly like this was something he did everyday with her before he stepped from her side, patting her shoulder in farewell. The mare just turned her head to watch the only person she trusted enough to even ride her. She snorts and trots after the Vampire, nudging the center of his back as she stood behind him. She was so confused as to why he was doing this. Damon simple turns to face her, his hand coming up and slaps her shoulder. "Get out of here you stupid nag." He says to her harshly, trying to get his point across to her that she was now free. Bella jumps back and just looks at him, surprised by him striking her like that. She stands there for a while before she snorts, shaking out her mane and trotting off into the distance with a swish of her tail to the man she had trusted more than any of the staff at the stables. She had been content to have only Damon as her caretaker and rider, but now she no longer belonged to him or even the stables. Though her strides were that of a calm horse, with in her body flared the rage that she was containing till she was far from the one creature she trusted most.
