I don't think I've ever seen a comic strip online done they way you are doing it (That or I'm just really not up to date with online comic strips) but I like it. I also like the character designs, particularly of the big guy there.

The public complacency over this system stems from similarities we see in real life entertainment mediums like video games, movies and such. We see it all the time, microtransactions, downloadable content. Even within the past 5 years its gotten worse than a lot of people could have imagined I'm sure. It's not too big of stretch when you think about it in those terms, just applied to a different form of leisure interaction. That being said, there are people who riot and rebel against the system, they live in the sub-levels our outside of the city, we just haven't see those places, yet

This is why a little periodic systemic destruction is so good. The founding fathers were correct on this point. Too little, too late...
