The whole motivation behind this Art doll came from the feathers that I used for her hair. Future versions of the Mohawk will be made in fleece - like the fins of my Mermaid plush. I've based the flight feathers off of those of a crow. In the future I plan on trying other types of birds.
As for this particular Harpy? Her name is Celaeno; dark one by name, dark one by nature. Despite her Heavy metal appearance; Celly’s quite up beat; although I imagine it’s hard for her to stay low when she can quite literally ‘rise above’ all those who annoy her. Also Celaeno has no need to buy tickets when she can perch on top of the stage at any outdoor gig.
Despite the air being her most obvious element, Celly socializes the most by the coast – to hang out with her mythological sorority, the Mermaids. Though it may not seem like they’d have a lot in common, both enjoy sushi, upcycling driftwood, tormenting careless humans, and anything with lots of bass.
