Part of the  owlies Easter art exchange - I got to draw willowseeker's anthro Great Horned Owl character Killari! It reminded me of how much fun drawing birds is... I need to do more of it. But apparently Killari loves Reese's chocolate peanut butter eggs! I've never eaten one, but I'm assuming they're chocolate eggs filled with peanut butter.... and I immediately thought of trying to open the egg to get to the peanut butter inside. I bet Killari's really excited to eat the giant one she has in her foot...

I tried drawing this one on cardstock instead of my usual Bristol board, since the latter is relatively expensive and it adds up when I do a lot of traditional art. xD I really didn't notice a difference while I was working on it, so I think I'll use cardstock more often for less serious pieces.

I also tried adding more light-and-dark contrast since I know I have trouble with that in my traditional work (and my work in general)... I personally like how I did. But as always, constructive critique is welcome! ^^
