They are made out of yarn, most of them being acrylic, I believe.
The strength, I'm not certain yet. I would give a full refund in return if it's not up to par with strength!
My boyfriend isn't over right now and it's hard to test the strength on myself, since the leash is quite long. We've yanked it once or twice just in case before when I had first created it and it seemed to stay in place.
