The former cartoon star (within, and technically, of Animaniacs itself,) who has seen better days; though her everyday life can be just as wacky!
I remember not caring much about her when I watched the show as a kid, but after watching it again recently, I like her a lot more. She's now become one of my most favorite Animaniacs characters.

The whole series was a fun mixup of various styles of humor, and most all of it was BRILLIANTLY written!
Slappy was a has-been, and her comic value was mostly in how out of date she was. Frequently, that made for funny scenes. Oddly, the older and grouchier I get, the funnier SHE is!
....now if you'll excuse me, I need to chase some kids off my lawn.

There was some episodes where it was like omg, are the censors ASLEEP here?! ...and then they go ape about how provocative Minerva was. From what I heard, the one the censors really let go was Rocco's Modern Life. .. if you know anything about Aussie slang, you'll either laugh or jaw-drop....maybe both.
Wow, I can't believe my comment got through, considering the major issues I had getting on FA last night.
But yeah, I agree. There was a surprising amount of adult humor in the show; like the fingerprints 'Finger Prince' from Hercule Yakko; I didn't get that one until I saw a post explaining it on Tumblr. I also agree about Minerva; all that adult humor, and yet they didn't give her a lot of screentime due to her appearance. It's a shame, because I would've loved to see her more in the show. Btw, I have drawn some pics of her too.
I'm not sure I recall the Rocco's Modern Life one (because if by 'let go', the censors allowed it, or removed it.) Surely I would've recognized that, since I'm a fan of that show too. I mean, I recognized the Rugrats parody in the show immediately...

Well, the reason I didn't care for her as a kid is because I couldn't remember the episodes she was in; I just remembered her being a character in the show (and I just realized this maybe a few hours ago.)
I may not be old and grumpy like her (though I can be rather pessimistic,) but I probably could relate to her in some way.
