You might not know how incredible this show is, but let me show you one incredible creature that will be there. This is Nathan. He is an Australian species of snake called a blackhead python. Why is this incredible? Australia has closed down exportation of their native fauna, and this guy came from one of the very few lines that was imported to the US before that ban. And you can take pictures, hold him, and get similar opportunities with other species that zoos don't even have.

Over 150 different species of reptiles and amphibians will be there! Bring a camera, get inspired for art, gain reference photos you couldn't get anywhere else, and have a great time for less than $10. If you come and find me at my table I will have a bookmark of my artwork for you! Look for a blackhead python and a uromastyx with a brown haired girl sharing her joy with strangers.
Please come or tell friends about it, because this happens only once a year and there honestly isn't anything like it anywhere else.

Aspidites melanocephalus = reptile eater? ouch!
I experienced multiple years of amazing snakes at the European Snake Society shows in Houten, Netherlands - including the "hot room" - and indeed, miss the all day experience of just trying to SEE everything.
If I were not traveling 700 miles in the opposite direction that same weekend (Sedona), I'd likely show up in Chi-town. Have fun at the show!

It changed when we moved out from my parents and got the landlord to agree to keep reptiles!
This is my personal pet. The little guy picked up a respiratory infection last week that seems to be on its way out finally. Kinda cool I get to play vet and inject antibiotics
