I've never been able to afford to spend a lot on commissions ($74 since 2011 on a con badge, 2 sketches at said convention, and 4 digital pieces) and have been out of work for a while. When I saw a streaming sketch commission for an artist whose work I admire, I figured I'd clear out the last of what I had sitting in my PayPal account. Needless to say, seeing this has cheered a bird up more than anything else I could have possibly bought.

Since I am a feral critter, getting commissions sometimes feels like asking an artist to draw a wildlife portrait for you. Looking back at the first piece I had done (a conbadge by Susan Van Camp), I took a little inspiration from what looks like a varsity jacket worn. Perhaps I (and hopefully whomever is drawing my humble requests) can have a little fun by playing around with some themes and/or the addition of various bits of clothing/ costume. For this piece, I asked if Red could perhaps play on the Steampunk theme.

I've cropped down this sketch to use as an icon but really wanted people to be able to see the full original piece.
