Finally I've opened the box that I keep all of my art supplies in and took the bag out that holds my blank sketchbooks. I have a tendency to buy books when I really like them, the feel of the paper, the weight, or if it's a really attractive book with a clever design. These ones caught my eye and I went nuts having to buy quite a few of them just in case I never stumbled across them again. Sketchbooks to me are sort of like a drug addiction.
That being said, I'm going to part with one of them - only to fill it when someones characters and give them a piece of my traditional art. I've been practicing quite heavily over the last year, trying to get used to doing traditional media again, and feel confident enough in my skills, confident in my tools, and quite confdent in this paper that it'll turn out quite pleasing.
The winner of the auction, or whoever steals the AB, whatever happens first, will be getting the full book via the post, 30 pages in total on brown card. Initially sketched with pencil, inked over, and a mix of coloured pencil, gel pens, and a few markers to really make the characters stand out. I really enjoy monochromatic artwork, and using pencil over inks to shade. If the images get heavily penciled, I will add tracing paper to the top to protect it from rubbing onto the next page. You can remove them if you so please once the sketchbook is in hand.
I would prefer to keep the book clean, however the winner can have up to 5 NSFW pages at the back of the book. I would like to have some freedom this go around. I don't mind a few theme ideas, but please don't dictate every page, and no comics. Depending on the style of image that comes out on the page, and the style of the character(s) some may keep more of a black and white look, while other pages may have colour added. I'm leaving this at artists disgression, as it helps me keep the book fun and not a chore. Will include busts, scenes, fullbody - artists disgression again.
It will take some time to complete, being that its all traditional media, however I'll keep in contact with the winner on how the pages are going and take photos to send via e-mail as they're completed.
Note: In the image at the top, the picture of Banwen, the otter, she is not completed yet. All images will be complete in the blank sketchbook before sending. Images of art shown are from my personal book.
