Totally meant to upload this yesterday sorry....
Anyway, in this little sound bit I show a little about layering synths and how it can drasticly open up and fill your sound making your track a lot harder or fatter! The same concept goes for you dubstep bass in your face kind of folk as well. Layering your basses by cutting out the 1000kz and below on your eq and bringing in the normal bass synth drasticly improves the wideness of your bass making it mean as fu*k.
In this examply I did a simple hardstyle melody to a reverse bass theme. I the first half I felt this was a little bland yeah its clean but need some meat give it some I dunno... Danceability? The second part uses a variety of synths and fillers.
The lesson is don't be afraid to fill out your sound~ It can mean the difference between a banger to idk Friday by Rebbeca Black (yuck).
