I go with my personal mantra: 'Be proud of your achievements no matter how small they seem, for if they're well tended, they'll grow over all.'
I've learned that such things we're taught have consequences. The bigger the thought the harder it falls. That's not to say I ignore it, I'd fail just as badly if I blinded myself from reality.

My concern is that we've raised up (and are raising up) at least two generations in a row, who just aren't equipped to deal with reality for what it is.
Instead, if you ignore it, it'll go away, or if you stomp your feet and cry loud and long enough, it'll change to suit you. X.x
