The Newport Aquarium had 2 types of reef sharks on display. This one is the White Tip Reef Shark. As their name implies, they inhabit the reefs on coastal grounds. And they also get the name "White Tip" because of the tips on their fins. During the day, they browse the sea aimlessly, uninterested in the fish swimming around them. At night, their personality changes completely as they switch of passive to hunter. They are also capable of resting on the seafloor because they're one of the few species of sharks able to breathe without having to continuously move. The sharks seek out fish hiding in coral crevasses.
