This is Oktober, in a photograph I have titled "Curious Kitten". As much as I tried to get her to look at the camera, she would not do so for more than a second. There were too many noises going on, since my partner was speaking to me. She is honestly a sweet little kitten, and I adore her with all of my heart. She is a pain in the neck, and often claws me, but I love her nonetheless.
Oh, and if you're wondering... We got her from a shelter here in Texas, so we don't know exactly what breeds she has in her. She does have some siamese, though, because not only does she sit and walk like a siamese cat (when she is upright and not resting like she is in the photograph), but she also uses her voice way too much.
This photograph is not the original. It has been cropped and enhanced, and I used a filter in photoshop to help show her colors, since the flash on my camera caused a bit of a problem with her coloring.

They're one of the first things my mate and I noticed about her. She chose us, rather than us choosing her. More specifically, she chose my lifemate. :P We were blessed to find her, because cats get put down faster than dogs. I think it's dumb that they do that, especially with how wonderful cats are.
Me too. I have three cats. One was feral until I adopted her when she was 4-6 months old, and the other was a kitten in a litter we raised from them all being about a week old (possibly only a couple days old). We really hate animal shelters, so I was so glad when we got Oktober. I didn't want her to stay in a little cage.
I know it sounds silly, but I have a dream to open one someday. When I'm older, you know? One that's like a huge house for cats. The only problem would be limited space and having to find the money to do it. But it's something to work for at least :)
I could probably find lots of volunteers to help build it, if I could get the land.

Lol that works on my older cats, but my kitten has a little bit of ADD. If there is ANYTHING that can get her attention, it's going to get it. Yesterday, she spent most of the afternoon chasing a ladybug and a mosquito, switching off on which one she was chasing depending on which one was in her line of sight. I couldn't even get her to eat until they had disappeared for a while.
