Pretty much an ice dog/wolf/fox with the ability to freeze things solid, can cause snowstorms out of season, often live in packs or clans.

They eat hearts mainly, no other food can be touched by them because it freezes solid.

Can only be killed with kindness, it melts their icy core and exposes the heart. Cannot refreeze their centers after it's been thawed, the lose their powers and immunity to hypothermia and frostbite. If the cold doesn't kill them, one of their own kind will to put it out of it's misery.

I need a name for them and to plan out more about them...
