That's a loaded word for someone small. The line between a friend and a possession can be blurred, especially when you can fit in the other person's hand.
This is easily one of my favorite short stories I've ever written, and it is definitely not over. This one is going to go far beyond just this story. You'll see what I mean soon enough. <3

Edit: Minor edit, just a detail I overlooked. It forced me to upload it as a .doc file though. That's incredibly stupid. How is it that I can upload a file in .docx format but when I want to edit it, I'm only allowed to use .doc format?

That was a very wonderful story! I especially enjoyed the interactions between Ben and Joey, you really managed to convey the sense of a sweet and genuine bond forming between two people of not only different ages but of vastly different sizes. I really enjoyed reading this and I definitely look forward to reading more of this story if you continue it! ^w^

My goodness that was an enjoyable read. The way that you paint the scenes in your stories is absolutely amazing. The actions and emotions of your characters always feel fluid, and lifelike. Which makes it very very easy to feel for their plights, no matter what side of things they're on. The fact that the pair in this story were able to work past their differences, and see each other as equals is heart warming in itself. What with the every growing amount of cruel macro/micro fiction. But seeing the way that they came together was enough to make me misty eyed.

Since docx is a Microsoft use of PK zip, it can't be edited as compressed. It can be re-expanded into XML but the edit becomes a doc unless you re-save it, specifically as docx.
Why not skip all the MS bloat and just save as text, with blank lines between paragraphs? Everyone can read it, and reader exposure is more useful than worrying about piracy.
