Woo! Entry number 20! We're a fifth of the way there :D Sadly, I'm still going to be an entry behind due to unexpected babysitting. Still, today wasn't necessarily a wash, since I did work on some art. :>

Today's a bit of a change with regards to the choice of inspiration, being based off of the singer Janelle Monae rather than a character from anime, manga, or video games. I thought she had a very distinctive style and form of dress that would lend itself well to a black and white picture, not to mention having a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to draw a pompadour!
