Story time!
He's on the run. Things have gotten bad.
Yesterday, portals started opening up around the country, releasing bizarre, aggresive monsters. Society's been thrown into a complete panic, and one of the portals appeared in downtown Chicago, half a mile from where he lives. So he fled.
He made it to a warehouse in the outskirts of the city with his baseball bat and whatever snack foods he could stuff in his pocket. He believed he could just hide here and stay safe until help came. But the banging on the walls and cielings suggests otherwise.
He has to move on, but he's hesitant to even take the next step forward...
