cant believe its been 17 years since youve been gone grandpa, i remember getting the news that you went to join jesus when my brother and i were playing a nintendo game, i was devastated, i remember when everytime we would leave your house and grandma would give us a bag full of candy from her freezer , u would always sneak a king size candy for me, my mom and dad got annoyed at times but the sugar rush was worth it lol, i remeber in the orchard up at the farm there were tons and tons of apple trees, we would picka few and during rainy days we would find giant toads in hols under ground once they flooded out lol,

melvin van horn fought in world war 2,, at one point during the war he hide inside a farm house near hitlers hideout for 2 months, he was declared dead but came home :) i love you grandpa, i miss you and grandma but im sure you both are up there watching tv or fishing or even sitting on the porch eating cold hard salami that u guys would buy at the market lol, i love you grandpa and miss you, cant wait to see you again someday
