Edit: I underestimated the power of the monitor. I had the brightness all the way down when I made this and I GUESS this messed with how I saw the color. Anyway, she's supposed to be a nice dull caramel color now, not that saturated darker thing.

So, because she's my next fursuit project (planned for over a year), I was picking out some fur for her. Unfortunately, there was no good color for her original look.
So I got something like the color of her fur in this picture.
Now, I have been toying with the idea of changing her up since I thought she was too plain before, and since I got a different color fur anyway, I decided I should give her a makeover.
She's one of my really underused characters although I love her to bits.
So I've been working on this all day.

Introducing Spinel 2.0.

I love white-on-color markings a lot, and I thought she might look nice with a red-pink eye color, which make her definitely fit her name more. And I definitely put more thought into the dress than before.
I hate looking at the older "ref" anyway.

Also wooo 3D head.

I'm getting a better hang of the whole ref sheet thing. Still not going to offer them. :I
