Long ago, during my childhood, the ice cream van always passed by the front of my house, with his unforgettable music!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjUkb0CkSq0
My sisters and I ,along with my mom, couldn't wait to taste those delicious ice creams!
Sadly those days will never return, and the ice cream van ran his last ride, years ago!
Years ago I did this drawing and had given it to my sister! She colored it and decided to put it in my gallery, as a tribute to those beautiful days during my childhood!
Tommy,Violet ,Ricky and Charlie enjoy a good ice cream, but it seems that Charlie has a slight accident with his ice cream!Heee, heee!
Old artwork by me and colored by my sister!

the dsys of chasing that icecream van is still alive and well around here! There's many different forms and nationalities of icecream venders in Dallas!
i miss the old days when me and my brother and sister used to annouy the living daylights outta our mother or anybody else we knew who could spare some change ,in order to get some icecream!
so once you finally hustled up some change to buy some icecream, its time to try to chase that icecream van down! !
i could that the driver could hear and see a swarm of kids running behind his truck! ! we had to burn off some fat before we could gain some!
i still had no ideal on how i developed diabeties from all that running and chasing after the icecream van!
maybe because i buy in bulk? yes! i could buy icecream on creadit!
in times of today. you dont have to chase the van down as much as you once did back in the days. in some areas, they past by as regular as city bus services!
the "paletha man" had the best icecream when it came to icecream being made with natuaral ingredients!
woooooooooowhooooooooo! a "mercedes icecream van"!
that must be somewhere in BeverlyHills!
that "charlie bear" is gonna grow up as big as a house!
3 second rule if his icream hits the ground!
i remember picking grass, sand, pebbles, and whatever outta mines! but i still ate ate it!

theodoreisthebest said, I could say the same for Hobbs, new mexico and midland, texas!
I barely remember seeing one one Hobbs! But that's ok. We had a convenient store nearby so we bugged our dad for money to go there! I remember one place had snoecones! I remember sucking the juice outta those things! I had no luck with gum either! I always sucked the flavor outta the gum!
I was a over hyper sugar addict back then!
moving to dallas to live with my mommiekins. ...
this is like the land of luxury!
oh, so its "palata man"?
they didn't become a common site in Dallas until the late 1990s.
"Platteno" is my favorite flavor form the cart!
I know I spelled that wrong!
