A story I wrote a couple of years ago which takes place in a universe that I'm still trying to flesh out in my head.

It was an exercise in minimalist prose, trying not to directly invoke the characters through dialogue and description, but rather have them as part of the overall theme and emotion of the story. I rather like what I came up with, and over the past couple of years the story has grown quite a bit in my fevered imagination.

At some point I'd like to write a series of shorts or perhaps novels about this universe, but time and motivation have been lacking.
