Mmmmm, ocopuss. I love painting them and my kids love eating them. Who's caught whom here? Is it a lover's embrace or dinner? Bwahaha.... Acrylic on paper aceo size. Is that a pretty octopus or what?

Ohhh the seahorse kitty is really great, and the green fades perfectly! I can't ever manage to make acrylics do that. The octopus is really beautifully done.

Thanks! The fade is easy - just wet the whole area, and plop the color where you want it darkest. I use my acrylics like watercolors. It takes a bit of practice to figure out the right dampness of paper to get the effect you want.

More likely the seahorse mercat just found it and is now saying "ooh, pretty. It's mine."

This is a cute piece, The seahorse mercat is very pleasant for the eyes. Keep up the lovely work!

Thanks! Yeah, you summed it up better than me. It was originally supposed to be a darker piece, but ended up too pretty.

I try to imagine what your darker art would look like, and all I can imagine is a blood-soaked mercat or catterfly cleaning itself next to its kill, and still it would look cute, as though it were smoothing a rough patch of fur after sleeping for 20 hours ;p
