Badge commission for
blondevelvet at Furry Weekend Atlanta 2014
Second of two badge commissions, this one came about by way of the FWA Artist's Alley offering heat-lamination pouches for sale to artists, as well as use of one of two laminating machines at the staff desk. Prior to this, I could only offer small-ish 3x5" badges since those were the only badge holders I had on me. Since this one came in the afternoon of the last day of the con (and I typically catch my train home a couple of hours after the end of the con on Sunday) it was just a little bit rushed, but fortunately I was able to complete it in time for a non-rushed trip to the station.
For posting, I did some clone-brush touch-up, preserving the paper texture wherever it was evident, and fixing some minor issues where areas of color ran together. Finally, I straightened up the scan, added a grey backdrop and halos representing pseudo-lamination :). As with the previous entry, this badge represents a large-ish example at about a 5x7 inch image.
Pencils on bristol colored with Prismacolor and Copic markers, tweaked with Micrografx Picture Publisher 10. Original size 33MB after attributions and logos.

Eh, I've done it too :) I remember racing through Anthrocon's dealer's room buying comics and stuff during the last part of the last day, on more than one occasion.
I think a lot of people who are staying for the whole con probably wait till the last day to buy stuff, especially if they're concerned about having enough $$$ to last through the whole event. The artists who get their queues filled early in the first couple of days likely have customers who probably dedicated funds to those artists in particular prior to the con (or who missed out on previous cons).
