Sometime in 2550:
Gene splicing is declared universally illegal, leaving a large group of people who have already spliced themselves with animal DNA for cosmetic or enhancement reasons to begin to be treated as second class citizens. These persecuted people reject humanity, and join together to form their own nation. Thus, the Antreyki are born.
