Coming into a strange part of the world after being dragged there by a powerful demon Shale looked over at his beloved Jul. " Where do you think we are?" He asked her looking around at the floating small island with trees on them. " I have no idea, but with that thing around we don't need to stay. It might be it's nest or worse..." Taking a step forward Jul heard faint laughter erupt from around them. Instinctively Shale jumped to Jul and covered her with his wings only to be engulfed in flames and burned alive. Letting out a streak of pain he dropped to the ground breathing heavy. Giving Jul a final glance with tears running down his burnt scales before fading away.

Jul stood there. Shocked, frightened, but most of all... angry. Whatever that thing was that ruined her little outing with Shale now took him from her.
She took him from her....
Everything seemed to black out of her vision as tears steadily ran down her face. " Shale..." She mumbled nudging him as if he was just taking a nap. " Shale." Her voice cracked as the tears ran down faster. " SHALE!"She fell beside her loved one morning him. " Shale, why. WHY?! Why did this have to happen... to you... Shale please just have passed out. Blacked out from pain!" But she couldn't feel his pulse. He was gone and she could feel it.

They took him from you.
They took your dearest friend.
They took your loved one.
They took your Shale.

The darkness called to her. She just wanted to stay next to Shale but the darkness almost chanted to her. As if it wanted her to take what killed him down with her. " I won't die like this. Not with that, that THING running around." She rose to her feet. Breathing heavy she screamed to the heavens. Furious she called out for some sort of help. The darkness answered her call. She snared as the shadows crept up on her slowly consuming her body. Turning it darker and making new markings appear as well as adding more red to the back of her hair.

It was like being born again. The new power rained through her body as this new form took it's place. As the darkness faded from her sight she felt so... Alive. So free suddenly. But looking down on Shale her heart filled with pain. Leaning down and giving him one last kiss o the cheek she made a promise.

" I'll do to you what you did to my precious Shale." Lifting up her right hand and breathing blue flames into it she lifted it to the sky. " I PROMISE." She snarled knowing the thing was listening.

Little did she realize the thing was her own inner demon. Eating away at her.

Love is a powerful thing.
But so is corruption.

<.< Anyway poor Squidy seems to be a little depressed lately so I thought a picture would cheer her up. Then i thought of a neat design for Jul if she ever became currupt. Not really much change can be seen, pretty much just got darker but still!

I totally didn't be lazy with the background or anything.
