Over the years, work or other obligations occasionally takes Cogs away from Lavender, and both count the minutes until they are reunited. This day, Cogs wings home and finds a friendly face lifted to the skies, waiting for him to join with her. Cogs backwings to a landing in front of Lavender, their eyes locked together the entire time. "Welcome home, darling," she says softly, but with all the depth of her love for her chosen mate. He says nothing, but wraps her in his wings and shows her the passionate depths of his own love for her in ways other than words.

Lavender Dreams and Whirring Cogs are two otherwise normal people caught up in extraordinary circumstances who have been fortunate enough to discover their perfect counterpart, and while life may occasionally throw stumbling blocks in their path, they can rely on each other to give them the strength to overcome them with a love unmatched anywhere in Equestria.
