Here is the first of the date auction pictures; Jen Aside's morose and proper character Ken and his blind date, Miss Greer Nicolaides. :)

Greer is obviously very impressed by Ken and the lobster dinner he's preparing for their picnic under the stars. Greer's father, however, isn't quite so thrilled. :) Poor Ken looks very embarrassed by Greer's forwardness, and perhaps he spies Mr. N. hiding back there with the hose at the ready as well. :)

The characters were all done on layout bristol, separated into however many parts needed (Vinci's only two, but Ken and Greer have about four-five parts each), colored, then cut and assembled. Props are all scrapbooking papers, stickers, cutouts, embellishments, what have you. The scene was build inside a photo box, and I tried to make a 3-D element no matter which direction you were viewing the scene from. You can't quite tell in this shot, but there's a pond with cattails to the left of Ken, and a treehouse in back of him. :)
