National Cherry Blossom Festival again. This time it's during the VERY wee hours of the morning (~4:30am). Arrived for sunrise and wanted time to scout some good locations and just screw around...and beat the throng of other photographers that were soon to follow.
Turned out one of my first goof around spots resulted in one of my favorite images! This is the Washington Monument as seen from across the Tidal Basin through the cherry blossoms. Used my off camera flash to lock in the flowers.
