This is a celtic forest fairy. I don't always work with transparent acrylics - this is a good example I guess. The painting measures 14x16 and is painted on hardboard. I apply my gesso with a paint roller so the surface has a nice pebbly texture that contrasts well with my precise painting style.

Thank you! I'm not sure why I like acrylics so much, but I've used them for so many years I manage with them pretty well. I did go through and oil period but I can't seem to get as bright colors with oils. I tend to overwork my stuff so the temptation to blend until I get mud is just too hard for me with oils. Plus I hate waiting for them to dry.
