So i was finally able to nab a REALLY cheap desk off of one sale a day for like $35, it was easy enough to slap together and despite being fairly cheaply made it's sturdy so that's really all I care about. It fits my rigs nicely enough. (as you can plainly see I'm a mac lover) I really like its not nearly as cramped as the setup i had before which essentially utilized two laptop desks and a footstool. ingenuity!

super happy with this though it gets its testdrive tonight.
