It reads left to right people, just so you know.
So yeah, I've left uni now and it's time I put my showreel together, but because the field I wish to go into is 3D I lack a few 3D things...well, in all honesty I'm not happy with the stuff I have...so I need to get soem stuff made.
I've always wanted to create a character from scratch but I never gained the knowledge on my course on how to do this- all I got taught was the basics of the program so everything you see here is what I've worked out for myself. Kind of a kick in the teeth when you think about it- pay to go to uni to be taught this stuff when really, I've found that I've learnt a lot more in the past few days working on this than I have in what, 3 years? :
So yes, this is my very first time creating a character in 3D from scratch so of course it's pretty bad in more ways than one...but I feel its pretty decent for my first try- who knows what I can do with enough practice :)
Here are a few screenshots of me putting the model together from start to finish :) I had lots of trouble blending and merging various parts together to make it look seamless but yeah- failed pretty badly at that, but I'm still learning so its not too bad for the time being :).
Hope you like, I'll have another up of the final pass soon!
