Bit of old art again tonight....

Her college is having a prom....It's sort of awkward....Everyone is physically adult, but emotionally - experientially still immature and insecure...Hence clothes grown too small...etc... Could be she is asking someone to be her date or being asked...Ears folded back...a cat fear thingy...But she is being brave...

Idea behind sketch was how we carry these emotions even as we grow older - from high school, college, university, etc.... and can still feel like this....

Originally a pencil sketch from around '97 - about 3x4 inches - used to practice/test PaintshopPro's freehand vector tool. Filled with flat colours and patterned background (bg also with light fx) around '02. Small size pixel wise, hence blown-up a bit here for new lighting - just messing around and practising lighting techs....
