I take no credit for the design or anything but this is a piece I got done yesterday. It's by Aaron Odell of Imperious Rex in Citrus Heights, California. Got it done all in one sitting because I'm a gangsta. It took about 2 and a half hours. It represents mindfulness/living in the moment. I have been into positive psychology/Eastern philosophy for a few years now and it's really helped to improve my attitude towards life - I used to be a negative nancy.
Aaron also did this piece for me last summer: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11541802/

You're welcome. ;3
I'm pretty good at nail art myself. I just need the right polishes and polish brush tips and I'll paint some of the best nails you're every seen. ;D
One time I painted my friend's toes in a Willie Wonka theme, painting her toes a delicious chocolate brown, added multi colored "sprinkles", and added a big Wonka W on her big toes. She loved it! XD lol

Haha that's awesome. I can't remember the last time I painted my own toenails - getting a pedi is so much more fun. XD And they always make it look so good I don't want to touch it for months even when it grows out quite a bit. I wish I could paint my fingernails and get creative with holidays and stuff but I can't have them painted because of my food service job :C
Daaang x_x That wasn't all in one sitting I imagine? I had no idea how hardcore foot piece healing is. I'm so lucky I happened to have a few more days of Spring break where I don't have to wear shoes. I had no idea how impossible/bad it would be to wear closed shoes for so many days afterwards.. I definitely didn't do my research first x_x And thank you! :)
Daaamn! Savage!! I'm fortunate that flats exist.. haha I'm living in this one pair of flats I have (they frame just around it and don't touch the piece at all) if I'm anywhere away from home. It sucks because they're kinda fancy and even have a bit of a heel, but I have no other choice XD
Yeah, well it is extremely broad as it includes all Eastern religions/philosophies so I'm not sure if that's exactly what I should call it. Basically Eastern philosophies/religions in general are more about balance of energy, patterns and the interconnectedness of nature and all things, and aren't as rigid and dogmatic as Western philosophies/religion, so I feel drawn to them - but there are so many damn religions and each one has several different types ugh x___x So I know very little about them in general. My main focus in what I've learned is mindfulness which stems from Buddhism, which is basically living in the present, paying attention to your sensations, emotions, and thoughts as much as possible (without hyperfocusing on them; just letting them come and go naturally), and not judging things, dwelling on things, or resisting things. Basically the message is to take life as it goes, enjoy the journey and not focus on negative thoughts or feelings because doing so only creates problems. And your expectations shape your perceptions entirely - which is more of a positive psychology thing but positive psych and Buddhism intertwine quite a bit. It's a lot of info I can't sum up terribly easily, haha sorry.
