Man, this is miles better!
The composition is really working well, and the figure is the center of attention instead of being lost. I like the touches of the light, the reflection, the candle, the sun under the arch.
I can't help seeing this as a match with the pic you did of S'kei in the cave - the future of our characters...

F27 gave you excellent advice, and the results look good!
Although I miss the open space and distances of the original, this "enclosed" version has a much stronger composition: I like especially the broken arches that point towards the wanderer.
[Of course, that could never happen: arches hold themselves in place, and unsupported keystones would never hang in midair like that -- unless magic were involved. ]
Thank you for completing this!

I know that arches don't stay up that way in real life - it's why I put them in, in fact :)
I doodled them in at some point and looking at them made me feel a little uneasy for just that reason, which I thought was the perfect mood for the picture, so I left them in...

I beg to differ on the plausibility of the arches. I've seen photographs of remains of arches that looked like that and were still standing. It depends on what type of stone is used and the strength of the solution used to hold the segments together. In most cases, it wouldn't stand, but it is technically possible.
You're welcome. I'm sorta interested in both engineering and architecture. I'm no expert, but the if the stone of the arch is light and the adhesive is strong, the remaining segments will stand. Well, providing there aren't too many on the unsupported side. If that side had even one more stone, it would almost definitely collapse.
