Those pans are the water dishes for my cats; I had ten cats at the time, and they kept throwing smaller dishes filled with water over the floor, so I needed something larger and sturdier. The blue plastic bowls are their foodbowls. And yes, by the rich foliage of the walnut tree in the garden you can tell it's summer, and yes, those are Christmas lights in the windowframe. I'd stapled them to the wood so they couldn't be removed anymore, sue me =~.^=
