This is my latest drawing, which I am going to be inking and detailing very soon, of my latest attempt at an anthropomorphic "were-flammie" form.
It should be mentioned, that this was scanned using a crappy phone camera "document scanner" program... it will look undeniably superior to this once it is inked.
The armor and weapons are a nod to the game I have been playing, called Dark Souls 2... the medieval melee combat in it is tough, but visceral, and a blast to go through. Yes, that is a "Buster" sword... also known as an ultra-great sword (its class, like long sword, short sword, etc.) or "horse killer" (its traditional role in real life).
Call me a FF7 geek if you wish, but this sword got me through the game... and it is a tough game. (with a great club when I needed blunt impact, and a heavy lance when I needed piercing)
Also, given the thick, heavy paw-hands of the anthro-draconic werebeast, I figured the best weapon to present would be something with a large handle and heavy grip... as you can see, the finger crenelations are made for his larger than human, "thumb like" digits. (advice for those who want to make good looking paw hands; literally just make the fingers "all thumbs")
The armor is deliberately minimalistic to go with my high evasion, yet hard hitting (and long range, due to the length of the weapon) combat technique. the only thing protected is his pawhands and feet, which are what get closest to the opponent when striking, and the chest; those thick, armor-like belly scutes end right at the collar bone, allowing a piercing attack to penertrate the throat, right under where a human "adams apple" would be.
When I ink this, I will be of course filling in the remaining length of the sword. I will also likely put some more armor plates on key areas, such as the shins and, perhaps, the most vulnerable parts of the wings and tail (the fleshy parts of the wings, and the tip of the tail)
Admittedly, clothing, including armor, is not my strong suit, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway, and will probably try to improve the general appearance of the armor (and creature) as I ink it.
*This is going into scraps as soon as I get the inked version in the gallery*
