As a rule I do not like using psykers in warhammer 40k. It is not as much a distaste for the existence of ‘magic’ in an environment dominated by automatic weapons as much as it is a distate for super-powerful characters. Under second edition warhammer 40k armies were practically required to take a psychic and I have never quite purged myself of my distaste for them. Contrary to that, I very much like the runic feel of the Space Wolf tradition. In terms of story, Geri is the opposite of Freki,… a being who has so much control over his own instinct that he displays no emotion and is blind to the world around him outside of it’s ethereal qualities. He acts as the guide of the Fimbuljagd, dreaming of Russ’ bloody paw prints across a dying universe.

This conversion was made out of a wolf guard, bits from an actual rune priest model, and from a daemon prince. It placed me in one of the few games workshop tournaments I have actually played in one of their dirt-mall stores though like Freki is a model I almost never use on the table top.
