I've notice that too, and I think there is a correlation. They are the ones who keep honing their craft, because they think think they aren't "good enough". The ones who are convinced of their own genius think the world has nothing more to teach them, and so the world tends not to share their high opinion of themselves.
hmm..never saw it that way but yes that makes so much sense. ..an artists worst critic is himself. I'm always hating on myself, I want to be like those other artists.. absorb their amazing skills. trying their styles and techniques. ever changing.never happy. ..and yet I see these people who (somehow had a bigger fanbase) but had stayed stagnant as the same style and quality for 5 years, and frankly..they arnt worth what they charge. they have SO much to improve..but when I knew them and offered help, they ignored it all and didnt want to change or improve. ..meh..
Part of me looks at this and thinks the scene here is absolutely adorable. And that it might hint to how you conduct all of your first meetings with your fellow artists. That and I wonder how many artists saw you huddled under your sketchbook to think, "Oh, you want me to look at yours, ok, here's mine, feel free to doodle on any of the blank pages in the back."

Aber eigentlich gehörst du echt eher unter denen, die sich echt nicht vor anderen schämen müssten.
Ich liebe solche kleinen Comics, würd die auch viel öter machen, wenn ich nicht immer so verpeilt udn unkreativ wär...mach auf jedenfall ma mehr davon, dan tret ich mich auch mal dn mach mit :3
