This is really appealing and also, she has that weird more-doglike look that striped hyenas have compared to spotted hyenas - she's really recognizable even without the coloring.

Heh, I'm afraid the sequel pic I started has a bit of a different body shape so it's pretty much just a portrait of a striped hyena lady, you'll have to use your imagination to fill the gaps... =-P I started drawing this slightly rounded hyena girl and liked it so much I decided to do a "before" pic, which is the one you see above here!

It worked very well, in my opinion. I gotta figure out how to do that now. ;)

Well, the stripes on the fur I can explain, basically, in Open Canvas, I created an entirely separate layer where I took a shade of brown in the "watercolour" paint palette and covered the area in it. Then I took the eraser and took it down to the right areas and went in with a smaller eraser brush to soften it and make it get those wavy stripes!

I think I see what you mean there. Ingenious method there. :)
