So it was my second day at Califur and Baxter, his friend Anarchy (the elusive straight fur), and I were looking at some person's art stuff and Baxter TOTALLY STOLE Anarchy's badge and gave it to me so we could sneak into another art area. :D (We're so cool.) And... that's about it. He lead me to Gideon's table and I got this super neat $1 badge. B-)
The only other artists I particularly remember seeing there was Dark Natasha and some other guy with artwork resembling Eric Schwartz. :B And some older guy made a pun about our paws flipping through his artwork or something. GOOD TIMES.

I dunno, just to go meet other people you know with similar interests? :3 If you like art, you can make, sell, buy, or exchange it there. If you like costumes you can dress up at conventions, and some even have parades for those in costume. You can usually buy lots of neat merchandise too! I'd think most people have some reason like that to go,m or at least have a friend tag along so it's not so boring. There's plenty to do, I think, like a party but better?

Like with cons: Plenty of reasons! To identify yourself, if not to feel a bit more like your character, it at least lets others know who you are - I found someone I knew online and didn't expect to see because I was familiar with his character and saw him wearing it! :3
Some may also use it cause they like the art and want to keep a history going, like getting one to every con they go to, or to get their updated character drawn.
I guess they also use it to identify who paid and who didn't... which is why I had to use someone else's. 8D

Ahaha, I dunno.... it'd have to be good quality to go wondering around wearing something like that... :P So until I get good at making anything.... 8D

Ehehe, a ham was all I needed! :3 He knew what Hamtaro was, and that he had an orange spot over one of his eyes and all, but I thought for a dollar commission, to tell him where each and every one of Oxnard's spots were was too picky - I didn't wanna hassle him and I'd rather keep it simple than have it wrong. :3

Yeah, I'd think his style influences a lot of people whether they like it or not - I've tried to draw his characters but I just can't do it at all. :P That's why I tried to look and see if I could find the familiar name by his art but I couldn't. ):

It didn't do much for me either. 8D For some reason I'd think since he's so popular, furs looking for money would be a bit more likely to copy someone with a successful look like his. :P That or if they just oogled his art for so long. Everyone's gotta start somewhere!
