I'm still thinking of this race, still trying to come up with new things, sub-species, equipment, weaponry, housing, habitats, and general looks.

These are energy manipulators. With no possible explanation of how they control the matter/anti-matter, these guys can be quite devastating, despite their light builds.
As they manipulate/control the energies, they develop little protrusions, something like tubes with an oval, pearl-like "organ" which acts as a light catalyst (or capping during the manipulation) for the energies.
They usually appear around their cheekbones, back, top of the wrists and legs. On the arms they vary in length due to the amount of manipulation they do with either of the hands.
