EDIT: After taking these photos I shortened the muzzle a little bit.
MEOW MEOW MEOW
The sculpt for Sassafras head 2.0 and any other future toony cat faces! I initially sculpted this with the mouth open, but I decided this morning to try to get a moving jaw working. I haven't decided what material I am going to cast this in. I'm thinking flexible foam, because Sassafras was intended to be a fun, goofy suit that I can romp around in.
Material is WED clay, which is the world's greatest water clay for this application. I worked really hard getting the symmetry right on this head. I used a set of calipers, a ruler, and I looked at this face from every angle. It's pretty danged good, and I'm glad I took the time to get it right.
Constructive criticism welcome and encouraged before I get this sucker molded.

Thanks, but I ended up tossing the mold when I moved last year in a fit of artistic self-loathing. Check out this similar looking mask by stuffed panda: https://www.etsy.com/listing/198797....._home_active_7
