I saw in the comments that his fursona is shy and has trouble speaking to strangers and then this image popped in my head.

Story:

Moshi had watched Wanga from a distance for a couple months now but had never gotten up the courage to even talk to her, much less tell her that he was attracted to her. He was a maneless lion and not too happy about that. That fact, coupled with his shyness, made it extra hard to talk to strangers and especially hard to talk to her.

Then one night as he watched her napping in the moonlight with her markings glowing brightly, he finally got up the courage to go over to her. He was thinking with each step he took, what he was going to say once he came up to her. Once he made his way to her, she peaked open one eye and half grinned at him which made him blush and look around at anything but her.

"Um...Hi, Wanga."

"Hello." She said, smiling and turning her head toward him. This gave him more confidence and with her willingness to talk to him, they talked for the whole night and eventually became best friends, and then mates later on.
