Okay, I think I got it this time... Lineart in Photoshop, color in Painter! I had way too much fun with this and I may have gone overboard! As you can tell, I still suck at backgrounds, but oh well. xD
I think I'm going to continue doing commissions like this. This was one of my 15$ commission specials from way back.

Hee, my character found a friend to play with. =D (I'm not going to do anything mean with that stick! ^_^ )
Yeah, I think I got quite a bargain considering the lighting coming from the side seems very realistic. Even the eyes have a 3D glassy look to them.
Yeah, simple background; but guess what? I hate doing backgrounds too. Most of my art is backgroundless and is even usually alpha channels so it's transparent. But this one is fine, it does the job and creates some visual interest. ^_^
That face and expression is so cute! =D *huggles....myself?* XDD
Anyhoo, I'm really happy with how it turned out (like a said, I think I got a bargain. X3 ) so thankies for all the extra work! =3

I'm so glad, your piece was super fun, cause I love cute characters with big eyes, ears and tails XD; and I always tend to exaggerate them. I'm really excited about how this turned out and I hope I can use this technique more in the future! There wasn't a minute that I didn't enjoy doing this piece.
