Sclaeras are essentially small to giant tree people. Many are docile, loving, and playful. They generally don't play on any sides, and most other creatures do not bother them. Their chest designs are actually hollowed into them and many birds and animals tend to nest in them. Their "wings" are just long extended fingers and generally they can not fly. (Some small light ones from specific regions can glide though). As far as magicks go they tend to not meld their energy into anything specific, and only usually use their magick to bring small animals back to life, or to help their local environment thrive.
