In an earlier posting (Calamity & Weak Willy), I explained that I had been toying with a comic strip about animals, headed by an unlucky rabbit named Calamity. One of the supporting cast was this fox girl, named Pandora. Somewhat later it turned out someone else had a published character named Pandora. I considered renaming my fox Caliban, but it just didn't stick.

^-^ She looks great to me! I have a Pandora too! ^-^ Trust me she don't look as lovely as yours! Mine don't live long in my story..... Your Pandora kinda got a boyish look to her. I like that about her! She can cause a lot of trouble that way and get away with it.

I wasn't thinking of Testacles or Egregeus or somebody with some name like that, who lived 2,500 years ago... I'm thinking more like somebody like Joshua Quagmire, who I think had a character named Pandora. Not that I consider that a rock solid claim on the name... only on the whole character.
