Some gift art for 
romman08 for his birthday. Been meaning to do some art for you ever since the one you gave me way back in January, sorry for the delay.
Anyway, here's his Tau OC Tai'la , and mine Por'O Elsy, on a night out, hitting up a night club and sharing a dance. I was very impressed with the Yellow Dress design for Tai'la and wanted to use it in something, so here's this.
Elsy's dress and dance pose are adapted from a doodle seen in an old sketch-dump DarkDarius / Darius Crane put up on his Warhammer 40k webcomic, again, another design that impressed me and that I wanted to incorporate somehow. Made a few little tweaks to it here and there, like well, adding colours for one, and the Water Caste insignia on the front. I was half-tempted to make the whole dress be some shade of blue or another, but felt that adding the black and yellow of Elsy's "traditional" outfit gives it a sense of familiarity and shows that it's part of her ensemble.
Not sure if it was noticed, but I also tweaked her earpiece again, changing the colour tones and adding a Tau Empire symbol on the side. A minor change, but I think I'll keep it there for the foreseeable future.
The background is from a Facebook game called "Exile Online", originally drawn by mrainbowwj --> http://mrainbowwj.deviantart.com/ and modified a little by me to make it fit in better with the piece, mostly filters and effects.
In regards to the name stamping, yes that's my deviantART name and URL, it's a temporary placeholder until I can design a watermark that works for my FA and DA pages, so pay it no mind for now. I just figure deviantART is where my work gets the most exposure, and where I'd need to protect it from theft. Plus deviantArt is where the theft of my work usually happens, not here on FA, you guys are better than that :D

I wish I could take credit for all of this, but I can't :P Elsy's pose came from an existing sketch from another artist that was essentially just gathering dust, so I decided to put it to some good use. I did credit them though, I'm no plagiarist XD but Tai'la, she took some work, had to re-draw her phsyique about 3 or 4 times until I felt it looked natural.
You really do flatter me >< and you're right! I was going for that "Space night club" Citadel DLC vibe, glad you noticed it! Tai's outfit was designed by her creator, but Elsy's I did take a few cues from the Mass Effect classy outfits, like Miranda or Liara's dresses. Again, thank you for the comments, nice to hear from you as always and very humbling to be complimented, praise from ceaser and all that :D
They wouldn't have to do much, everyone knows Shepard can't dance to save his/her life XD
