Though she calls herself a shadow wolf, or more accurately a wolf's shadow, she is actually a wolf/coyote half breed. What is completely accurate is the shadow aspect as she has no physical body and an effective mass of around 3-4 pounds, what some old myths allude to being the mass of a soul lost at death. She acts like an event horizon save for her eyes which glow green, and so no light escapes her resulting in her only being viewable as a silhouette. Verada is a psion and revels in making trouble for anyone she meets, doubly so if she likes them. She's about as allergic to sunlight as a vampire and is questing to 'make herself whole' or in other words find the body she never had. Currently in the employ of the Society of Evil Doers, she is slowly coming to understand a world she has never known: the world of technology. As the only female shadow in the place, she's also named herself the de facto alpha female, and she'll likely put anyone who argues through a wall or make them think they area chicken for a week.

And yes for those geeks of us out there, Verada is purposefully spelled a letter off from Verata. She has two other 'chosen' siblings though she alone is the direct decedent of the great Shadow Mother. Her brothers are Klatuu and N..ah gimme a minute, I know its an "N" word...

FUN FACT: Verada's eyes are not actually green but moonlight silver. Two other shadow species, red and blue eyed, also once existed though only green and silver remain. The implications of silver eyes cause Verada to will them to be green, as only a silver can, to make herself seem less threatening and because she is in denial about having silver eyes as her siblings both have green eyes.
