Last I heard, he and Cataroo were raising Grate Danes in a cabin somewhere up in Big Bear. Haven't been in touch with him for years, though.

I recently visited John "Topfox" Cawley and Cataroo at their home in the San Bernardino mountains. And, yes, they do raise Great Danes. And you have no idea how big these dogs are until you've seen one up close -- let alone spend a few days in a house full of them! :) They also have several cats and a miniature horse (they have a dog as big as a horse, and a horse as big as a dog). John recently wrapped up his second stint at Film Roman (he worked there in the '80s on the Garfield and Friends show). Prior to that he was a line producer at Cartoon Network (he worked on Dexter's Lab, Harvey Birdman, Megas XLR, and Hi-Hi Puffy Ami-Yumi).
